FAQs

How old does my child have to be to attend your center?

We follow the BCPS birthday cut-off of September 1st. That means children must be 2 years old by September 1st of the school year in order to begin. Summer camp accepts students 2 years old (by September 1st of the school year) through those that are finishing fifth grade. During the school year, the before- and after-school program accepts kindergarten through fifth grade students as space allows.

Do you accept infants?

No. We are not licensed to provide care for children younger than 2.

Can you refer me to someone who does provide care for an infant?

We do not maintain a list of area infant care providers. Go to www.childcarelinks.net and click on resources to access the LOCATE child care option.

How can I enroll?

We suggest that everyone who is interested in CPCFCCC visit the center before enrolling a child. Tours can be arranged year-round by calling 410-747-4581. Or, you can attend our annual Open House that is generally scheduled the second Saturday in January each year (check our calendar).

Enrollment for summer and fall classes begins each January immediately following the Open House. Children are accepted on a first come, first served basis within the following categories:

Enrollment is initiated by completion of our online registration form, signed Financial Agreement and payment of a deposit and registration fee. Enrollment is not completed until placement in a class is confirmed.

Enrollment takes place throughout the year, based on available class space.

What paperwork do I need?

Before a child can start:  Registration Form/Financial Agreement, Emergency Card, Health Inventory, Walking Permission, Sunscreen Permission, Signed Parent’s Guide to Regulated Child Care, signed last page of CPCFCCC Parent Handbook.

Updated Annually:  Health Inventory and Emergency Card (by initial), Walking Permission, Sunscreen Permission

You can download the forms listed above here.

What is the tuition?

CPCFCCC is a 501(c3) non-profit. The center is operated as an outreach ministry of Catonsville Presbyterian Church. Tuition is charged so that expenses can be met. An individual child’s tuition is determined by how many days a week the child attends the center and which program the child is registered for.

CPCFCCC accepts these financial assistance programs:

What is the general daily schedule?

What curriculum do you use?

Preschool classes follow the Creative Curriclum. Some of the pre-kindergarten classes also use Open Court, a phonics based pre-reading curriculum.

School-age classes based their curriculum on student interests.

What hours are you open?

CPCFCCC is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is no provision for early arrivals. Parents who pick up a child late are charged a fee that increases significantly with the degree of lateness and the number of occurrences.
